Overcoming – Healing – Thriving

These three words capture the heart of my work and the hope I hold for every person who walks through my door. My approach is rooted in treating the whole person—not just the presenting problem. It is a privilege to sit with clients as they overcome challenges, heal old wounds, and begin to thrive in meaningful and lasting ways.

I primarily work with teenagers (16+), college students, and adult women navigating:

  • Depression and other mood disorders
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • Low self-esteem and self-worth
  • Communication and conflict
  • Family and relationship challenges
  • Trauma and grief

I am currently accepting new clients on a limited basis. I offer in-person appointments Tuesday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM. Telehealth sessions are also available—because let’s be honest, some days the most therapeutic place truly is your own couch… preferably paired with sweatpants.

I accept BCBS (including Blue Value), Aetna, and private pay.

Reviews

  • My husband & I began seeing Kristen to help us navigate our daughter’s treatment and our co-parenting relationship. She was very knowledgeable about the types of therapeutic programs we were involved with, and the various therapies offered. She not only supported my husband and I during this transition, but whenever necessary, she would provide guidance to the three of us in family therapy. Kristen was very helpful in educating us, suggesting strategies, and maintaining calm and focus in our sessions. We valued her ability to hold every family member accountable for their role in our family challenges. We all appreciated Kristen’s ability to make us laugh even through the most difficult times. When working with Kristen, we always knew she genuinely cared about each family member, and what they were going through. Kristen has been a tremendous asset to our family & our journey. We are so thankful for her knowledge & guidance.

  • I started seeing Kristen while I was in college. My stress and anxiety were out of control. At the time, the thought of “therapy” felt like I was failing. The first time I met with Kristen, things instantly changed for me. I quickly realized a good therapist listens, supports, and understands their client. That’s exactly what Kristen did for me. I never felt judged or wrong for any thoughts or feelings. She encouraged me to be the best me, and that I can do hard things. We created healthy coping mechanisms for my anxiety, and she was truly there to listen when I felt alone. I am thankful for her services and for being the best support I could have.

  • “Kristen is genuine and wise. I am comfortable speaking with her, and I like that she keeps in communication with my psychiatrist so he is very informed before prescribing medication. I feel like my mental health is in good hands”.
